Fire Stations

The Metropolitan Fire District is divided into five MFB Districts, namely:

Central District (North West Metro Region) – consisting of Stations 1, 2, 3, 10 and 38.

Western District (North West Metro Region) – consisting of Stations 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 and 51.

Northern District (North West Metro Region) – consisting of Stations 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 52.

Eastern District (South East Metro Region) – consisting of Stations 18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31.

Southern District (South East Metro Region) – consisting of Stations 24, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 39.

Each appliance (vehicle) has a number in a round circle on each side to identify the home station of the appliance.

If all resources are depleted from an area, a decision may be made to send an appliance from a home station to a “move up” station. If this occurs you may see a variety of appliances that are not normally stationed in the area.
